Atkins Update

Hey guys! 3 pounds down since switching to Atkins last week. I think I've almost been doing it for 2 weeks. Have had 2 cheat breakdowns. Basically drinking the shake for breakfast and eating 2 atkins bars by dinner. Dinner is hopefully out or I eat peanuts, another bar or a cheese stick. SugarFree lemonade and water plus my very favorite skinny latte with sugarfree caramel coffee at starbucks. My cheats- brownie the other night while making them for Mae's school and a **** cupcake yesterday. How does this stuff get in my house? :) My fridge is bare- need some deli meat but the thought of it makes me nauseous. I'm a size 8 finally in most things- still wearing a size 10 in shorts so I can pull them down a bit. I'm way too old for the short shorts on the market and way too young for the knee length. :) I need to lose at least 7 more pounds to look decent in summer clothes.

Day 5- No Carbs

Ok guys. I switched gears. That last diet kicked my rear- my husband offered me $4k to finish it and I just couldn't. Lets just say I survived the party without cheating but I did not survive the next day. I didn't eat properly on the day of the party due to the preparations and at about midnight that night severe naseau kicked in. It stayed all Saturday and I ate bread. Ok so it was cake without icing. :) I did feel much much better if you can overlook the guilt. Then that time of the month came so you aren't allowed to take shots but still are suppossed to do 500 calories. Plus Disney was approaching so.....I decided that was the end of that. I did survive Disney all week without eating a bit of sugar or carbs. I'm pretty proud of that. I appreciated every salad I ate! Today I had an Atkins Peanut Butter Bar for breakfast, chef salad for lunch, 1 sugarfree mini reeses cup. I may go eat a piece of cheese and then I'm done for the day. I bought new clothes today- 1 size down since all this mess began. In fact- I wore shorts at Disney World which is truly a rare sight. Today I was 11 pounds down overall so no weight loss since last Saturday. Wish me luck- Atkins worked wonders for me before I got pregnant with my second but it took 3 months to go down to size 4! I'm hoping 30 more days to size 8.

Day 17- a Pound Down

Ok- I 'm down a pound today for 13 pounds overall. Here's hoping I can survive the Edgars cake that arrives at noon for the party. Scary!

I made the family chicken parmesan last night- it looked so good! I miss cheese!

Day 16

Today was great. I walked "briskly" to and from work at lunchtime and grabbed a piece of grilled chicken and a melba toast and water. No memory if I ate an apple then too or not.

Dinner on the run- grilled chicken/melba toast/apple.

I didn't eat my tomatoes today- I just completely ran out of time with birthday party prep for tomorrow.

My biggest accomplishment to date: Just made 41 choc chip cookies, 2 dozen oatmeal cookies, a loaf of pumpkin bread, and a brownies. I didn't cheat even a little. Oh yea- I also had to serve Durham one of those cinnamon rolls with white icing that comes pre-made. I just decided that one of those will be my first carb when I get to eat them again in June. :) I had to wear gloves to mix all of the stuff. Pretty amazing- truly if you know me.

Day 15- Dr Appt

Ok- definitely still stuck at this weight. Dr said to add 15 minutes of light cardio every other day to get my metabolism fast. Also- turns out albacor tuna is not a white fish. Gasp. **** So that may be why I am staying at this weight too.
Today-
Coffee for Breakfast
1 melba toast for lunch
1 apple at 2
5:30- 6 oz grilled chicken, 1 melba toast
With Dinner- a little bit more chicken , tomato
After Dinner- Apple
Jogging Tonight

Aaarrrgghhhh. Here's hoping!! 15 more days so I want at least 15 more pounds gone. That will put me at 134 which is not my goal but maybe the no carb bit afterwards will get me closer to 120's by summer.

Day 14

I swear it looks like I gained a pound today. That can't be possible but I am definitely speaking to the dr tomorrow to see what I can do. Darn!
Today- Lunch Tomato with salt/pepper, plain albacore tuna, 1 melba toast
Dinner- Tomato with salt pepper, 1 melba toast, 1 piece grilled chicken
Tea, Coffee, and Water

Day 13- 11 pounds overall

Finally moved away from my plateua of the last few days. Lost another pound as of this morning for a total of 11 pounds. Body shape is dramatically different but the pounds aren't showing. I walked to work this morning to try to help my metabolism. Woke up at 7 to drink coffee too.
Had 498 calories today- 2 melba, 1/2 cucumber, 1 apple, and 200g grilled chicken. Better lose another pound in the morning- this is the hardest diet ever!! Am planning on taking Durham to Disney next week- what a challenge! I'll need to see definite results by then not to switch to Atkins diet.
